Coffee - it's everywhere. I know that in my town you can't walk down the high street without going past at least four different outlets for the stuff and I'm not even talking about the cafes and restaurants. Starbucks, Costas, Neros... they spring up overnight when not so long ago the closest you could find to a cappuccino was a coffee with a lot of froth on top that dissolved into limpid clusters that looked unnervingly like saliva.

Coffee makers come in many different shapes, sizes, colours and abilities. There coffee makers that will make good old regular coffee or others which can produce everything from a espresso to a latte at the touch of a button. What ever your preference may be there is an automatic coffee machine out there to full fill your need for coffee. It is even possible to get a coffee maker which can grind the coffee beans and have perfect coffee ready when you wake in the morning, all you have to do is program it the night before!

If you are a human being reading this article then you have tasted and know what iced coffee is. But it is not what you are thinking it is. You are perhaps thinking that after making a hot cup of coffee, bringing the decoction down to room temperature, and then chilling it in the refrigerator constitutes a simple iced. You could not be more wrong! No doubt it is a variant of a hot brewed coffee, but there is a method to make it, a method that is different from the way a hot coffee is brewed.
