Playing Drums With Other Musicians

I remember when I first started playing the drums back in 1976. I was just ten years old, and the thought of being an
awesome drummer in a band just consumed me. I remember dreaming about playing drums in front of hundreds, or even
thousands of people someday. But, I really never considered how difficult it would be to finally get to that point.

The Power in Applying God's Word

In God's plan for every believer is peace, hope, and a good
future (Jeremiah. 29:11). It is His will that we live
abundant and prosperous lives but the enemy will try to
destroy every ounce of peace and hope we have by bringing
doubt into our minds.

If you are experiencing doubt and discouragement in your
life right now, it is because the devil is robbing you of
the blessings that God has for you.
Buying a new drum set can be a bit intimidating. Especially
if you have not been playing very long. With so many
different brands on the market and so many options and
opinions, it makes choosing a new drum set a bit
challenging.

My advice is to go to severel different music stores or drum
shops and get as many opinions as you can from as many
different drum sales reps as possible.
What is going on in your mind? Are you thinking thoughts of peace, prosperity, and
happiness? Or, are you thinking thoughts of doom and gloom?

A person can tell what goes on in the mind of someone else by the very way they walk, the
way they talk, the way they carry themselves, and their manner of dress. Everything about
them reflects their way of thinking.

Why You Should Write Down Your Vision

Do you know where you are headed in life? Do you have a clear vision of what you want your future to be? Do you have a fixed goal written down with a target date set?

It is vital that we know exactly what we want out of life. We must know where we are headed, and we must keep a fixed goal in view. It makes no difference if we want a better job, a new house, a new car, or just a new pair of shoes.

How to Move the Hand of God

Have you experienced many disappointments in your life? If you're human, you have. Through repeated disappointments, we can become conditioned to expect more disappointments and display a lack of faith.

You can tell when you display a lack of faith by the words you speak. When something that seems negative happens to you, do you say things like, "It figures!" or "Why do these things always happen to me?"

Hebrews 11:6 says, "Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

How to Get Focused on Your Drumming

Remember the times when you knew you should practice your drums, but just didn't feel like messing with it? It's at those times you lacked focus.

There was a time when I had a studio session to attend to lay down some drum tracks and I simply was not in the mood at all. Hey, I was tired! It was Friday afternoon, it was a long, hard week, and I was done! While driving to the studio that day my mind was consumed with pretty much just wanting to watch television.
If you have a big dream that God has placed in your heart are you pursuing it? Are you in motion, or are you sitting idle? Maybe you're waiting for God to do something.

Some people will say that God can do anything. I disagree. God cannot do just anything. He has a nature and he will not act in a manner that is inconsistent with His nature.

How To Be Outrageously Blessed

If you have given your heart to Jesus and confessed Him as your Lord and Savior, you belong to the family of God. Therefore, you are no longer a stranger, but a fellow citizen with the saints of the household of God (Ephesians 2:19).

You were called to belong, not just believe! Remember, God said it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18).

Drum Practice: 4 Things To Do In Every Session

If you want to increase your level of drumming fast you obviously need to practice as regularly as possible.

Since many drummers find it difficult to find time to practice for long periods of time, they don't practice at all. This is "all or nothing" thinking and leads to failure in everything it's applied to.

Here's a fact: It's better to practice your drums for 5-20 minutes everyday than one or two hours on just one day per week.
